Authors may more and more rely on artificial intelligence to help them combat writer’s block, as stated by a prominent book publishing executive.
The chief executive of the publisher behind the Harry Potter series commented that artificial intelligence could enhance the vast majority of artistic fields, while it cannot fully replace well-known authors.
"I think, AI may probably enhance creativity, since it will enable the eight billion individuals across the globe to get started in a creative field in which they could have felt unsure before," he remarked.
"Artificial intelligence kicks things off and drafts the opening lines or introductory chapter, allowing them return into the zone," he explained. "Additionally, it can accomplish comparable roles in visual arts, songwriting, and across nearly every artistic disciplines."
Potential Problems with AI-Created Books
That said, the executive cautioned that a problem might develop if AI is employed to produce entire books. Nonetheless, he pointed out that book lovers ultimately seek out works written by well-known authors.
"Humans are conditioned deep in our DNA to be comforted by the credibility and reliability of big brand names, and this holds true more than ever to the reputations of big writers," he commented.
"There will be some low-quality content circulating, so individuals will increasingly seek out trusted sources for reassurance," he added.

Difficulties in the General Public Market
That said, revenues in its consumer arm declined by about 20%, mostly because of the non-appearance of a recent release from the top-selling writer.
