Salah Extends Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones

Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the controversy from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a European match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had soured.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”

Arne Slot has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

The player stated that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” he continued.

He also suggested that a player's desire to start is less of an issue. “I get that there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Liverpool's form have remained strong in the matches since the interview fallout. The player is convinced the Salah's words were never meant to destabilise the squad.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
