The Reform UK leader Claims Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “harming young minds” by telling students that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his perspective on the UK education system, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after winning the next general election,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, not uniting us. They promote this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union rejected the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his public life on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, particularly schooling … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has not set out much detail on its educational plans and seems not to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, Farage’s remarks indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring a conservative activist, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted through education, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and millions of days of lost learning for students.

During the American gathering, Farage also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the institution in the UK. He stated such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I mean this. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
